Aviocom B.V., announces a milestone achievement in becoming certified to the AS 9120 Revision B - EN 9120 : 2005 and ISO 9001 : 2008 Quality Management System standards and guidelines.
Aviocom has achieved the AS 9120 accreditation from Lloyd's REGISTER Quality Assurance Limited,Coventry, UK (LRQA).
The AS / EN 9120 and ISO 9001 are accepted worldwide as the inclusive international standard that defines quality.
The AS 9120 adds specific requirements to the ISO 9001 that are relevant for stockist or pass-through distributors for the aerospace industry. The standard is applicable for organizations that resell, distribute, and warehouse parts found in aircraft and other aerospace components.
Aviocom underwent a stringent evaluation process that included quality management system development, documentation review, pre-audit, initial assessment, and clearance of non-conformances. All of which worked to identify corrective actions that eliminated non-conformance to the quality management standard. The process culminated in a comprehensive three-day registration audit by LRQA. After correction and closure of all nonconformances, Aviocom received its approval certificate on July 23, 2010.
